James J. Milucky, MAc CrFA CFE CPA
Founder and Principal of Forensic Accounting Specialists, Inc., James J. Milucky, Certified Public Accountant, has over 25 years of private and public accounting experience including financial management in manufacturing and industry.
Mr. Milucky’s practice focuses on forensic accounting, fraud investigation, business valuation, litigation support, expert reporting, testimony, tax and general accounting.
Over the course of a diverse manufacturing and industrial background, Mr. Milucky has developed the ability to adapt to various environments. Mr. Milucky has a keen investigative nature and the ability to distill large volumes of information into clear and concise presentations.
Mr. Milucky’s real world experience consists of financial management “in the trenches” from cost accountant to CFO. He has developed, installed and managed cost accumulation systems in multiple plant locations, reporting to both domestic and foreign owners. Through Mr. Milucky’s efforts, routines and controls were developed and installed, providing increased accuracy and timeliness of financial data reporting.
An accomplished public speaker and author, Mr. Milucky has been a keynote speaker for The Florida Society of Certified Public Accountants, Rotary International, Beta Alpha Psi, The University of Alabama at Birmingham, The National Association of Accountants for Cooperatives, Brevard Family Law Network, The Institute of Management Accountants and the Space Coast Condominiums Association. He served for three years as Chairman for the Palm Bay Municipal Charter School Authority and served on the Board and Executive Committee for the Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Milucky holds the Master of Accounting degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham and Bachelor of Finance from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley. Mr. Milucky served as adjunct instructor for the University of Alabama, Birmingham, teaching upper division cost accounting and as an instructor at Snead State Community College teaching Principles of Accounting.
A licensed Certified Public Accountant in Alabama, Florida and Georgia, Mr. Milucky is recognized as a Certified Forensic Accountant by the American College of Forensic Examiners and as a Certified Fraud Examiner by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He is a graduate of the Schools for Assistant and Senior Assistant Bank Examiners – FDIC, Washington, DC.
Memberships include the American College of Forensic Examiners, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, University of Alabama-Birmingham Alumni Society and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
